Osmanabad Police arrests an accused in teenager harassment case

Osmanabad: In a shocking incident of harassment, a 14 year old teenager from Gaddevdhari village in Osmanabad district on Saturday died of her burns after she set herself afire following persistent harassment by a 22 year old boy from the same village. Girl had sustained over 70 per cent burns.

Offense no 78/2012 U/s 354, 509, 34, 306 of IPC has been registered with Osmanabad Rural Police Station on the basis of victim’s statement before her demise on Saturday and Police arrested alleged accused Lakhan Dilip Adhav. The accused has been remanded police custody till 18th July.
